Attractions
You can walk to your choice of several fine
restaurants or take the Suncoast Beach Trolley anywhere you want
to go along the seventeen miles of beaches from Clearwater
to St. Petersburg. The fare is only $1.50 per ride or $3.50
for all day. Take the trolley and enjoy the Sunset at Pier 60 in Clearwater -
each night, from two hours before sunset to two hours after
Sunset there is a street festival featuring local artisans
and performers. It’s free and should absolutely not be
missed!
If beaches are what you're looking for, a visit
to Caladesi Island State Park is a must.
"Dr Beach", Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman,
named Caladesi (Clearwater area) as the Best Beach
in America for 2008.

And Fort DeSoto Park's North Beach was the
best beach in 2005.

John's Pass is a favorite for both
locals and tourists alike. It’s unique structure, a
quaint, turn-of-the-century Florida fishing
village, provides shopping,
parasailing and water sports excursions for sightseeing. The
restaurants here offer all types of dishes, but you really
should try the local seafood (grouper is wonderful). And
your dining experience can be as casual or as upscale as you
like.

are numerous golf courses nearby: Bardmoor Golf and Tennis Club, Vinoy Golf Resort, Chi Chi Rodriguez Golf Club, Rocky Point Golf Course, and Old Memorial Golf Club, to name a few.

Other local attractions include
Clearwater Marine Aquarium, one
of only eight facilities in the United States
authorized to rescue and rehabilitate marine mammals, and
the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary where you can
see hundreds of pelicans, herons, cormorants, and other
local seabirds.
Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa has been rated the #1 family
rated zoo in America by Child magazine!
For those who enjoy a little gambling, you can
go on casino boat tours. Treasure Island Casino Cruz offers
such a venture, and then there's the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in
Tampa.
You can also enjoy relaxing lunch and dinner
cruises out of
Clearwater.

Tampa's Busch Gardens has some of the best roller
coasters in the nation, along with their animal shows
and safari rides!

Don't forget to check out
events in the Tampa Bay area.

like Disney World , Universal Studios and Sea World in
